P7.1 million shabu seized in drug stings

MANILA, Philippines — Shabu with an estimated street value of P7.1 million was recovered in drug stings in Bulacan, Butuan and Davao del Norte on Friday.

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized a kilo of shabu valued at P6.8 million in San Jose del Monte City.

Anti-narcotics agents said the illegal drugs were recovered from Arnaldo Solomon who was arrested in the parking lot of a shopping mall in Barangay Tungkong Mangga.

In Butuan City, PDEA agents said 50 grams of shabu worth P300,000 were confiscated from Manuseto Pulido, 43, and his cohort, Romulo Solomon Jr., 33, in Barangay Doongan.

Twelve grams of shabu worth P80,000 were seized from Rodelio Espiritu, alleged operator of a drug den, and his three companions in Barangay San Pedro, Panabo, City, Davao del Norte.
