P1.5 million shabu recovered in Zamboanga

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — A “high-value” drug suspect was arrested and P1.5 million worth of shabu was recovered in a drug bust in this city yesterday.

Jumdama Abdukarim Didang, 48, a native of Barangay Tinah, Panamao, Sulu, was apprehended in Barangay Talon-Talon at around 10 a.m., Maj. Elmer Solon, Station 11 police chief, said.  

In Lanao del Sur, provincial jail guard Walid Usman, who tried to smuggle P1.3 million worth of shabu in Marawi City, was arrested on Monday.

Usman was on a motorcycle when he was intercepted at a checkpoint in Barangay Tampilong.

He was charged with violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
