Sayyaf finance liaison officer arrested in Zamboanga
ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — A suspected finance liaison officer of the Abu Sayyaf was arrested during a raid on his hideout in this city on Sunday.
Abra Adrian Marani, 45, was collared by personnel of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, military and police intelligence units and Regional Mobile Force Battalion in Barangay Buenavista.
Capt. Edwin Duco, Zamboanga City police spokesman, said a caliber .45 pistol, a magazine and a hand grenade were recovered from the suspect.
Duco said Marani was with the group of Hatib Hajan Sawadjaan.
