Robbers pull woman’s hair in bus heist

MANILA, Philippines — A businesswoman lost P20,000 in cash and other assorted credit cards after a group of men robbed her in Mandaluyong City on Wednesday.

Maria Socorro told probers that six men connived in robbing her while inside a commuter bus traversing the northbound lane of EDSA in Barangay Ilaya at around 9:05 p.m.

She said one of the robbers grabbed her hair, which diverted her attention from her bag.

Another robber then took her bag and hurriedly alighted from the bus together with his cohorts and fled towards Reliance street.

Police are checking footage from surveillance cameras for leads on the robbers’ identities.
