BULACAN, Philippines — Four drug suspects were killed in stings in Bulacan and Zambales yesterday.

Percival Zamora, alias Bong; Louise Lasal and an alias Bayaw shot it out with police officers who posed as buyers of shabu in Barangay Gaya-Gaya, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan at past midnight, Col. Emma Libunao, acting provincial police director, said.

Libunao said Menchie Arquisola was arrested while another suspect identified as Alexander Masanay managed to escape.

Seven sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of P100,000, a 9mm pistol, a .38-caliber revolver, an improvised gun, marked money and drug paraphernalia were allegedly recovered from the suspects.

In Zambales, Isagani Macabulos, a resident of Dinalupihan, Bataan, was shot dead when he drew his gun when he sensed he had sold shabu to undercover agents in Barangay San Miguel, Botolan, Brig. Gen. Rhodel Sermonia, Central Luzon police director, said.

Sermonia said Macabulos’ cohorts escaped.
