MANILA, Philippines — At least 17 persons were apprehended in separate anti-narcotics operations in Metro Manila in the past two days.

In Quezon City, four drug suspects allegedly yielded over P50,000 worth of shabu.

John Paul Cagampang, 24, and Randy Guarin, 23, were nabbed for alleged possession of P47,000 worth of shabu during a sting along Taurus street in Barangay Tandang Sora.

Members of the Kamuning police collared Bernadette de la Cruz, 39, and Mariano Manlangit, 55, in Barangay Pag-asa.

Police said they recovered P13,600 worth of drugs from the suspects.

In Pasig, more than P108,000 worth of shabu was confiscated by police from four suspected drug pushers.

Rico Rogacion, 43, and Aldrin Ube, 45, were nabbed in a drug sting in Barangay Rosario, according to city police chief Col. Moises Villaceran Jr.

Villaceran said Rogacion and Ube have been under police radar for allegedly pushing drugs.

The suspects reportedly sold shabu to a police officer who posed as a buyer prior to their arrest.

In Barangay Manggahan, policemen were on routine patrol when they accosted Peter Trio Oquindo and Axle Banez, both 27 years old, for playing the illegal numbers game cara y cruz along Magsaysay street.

When frisked, police said they recovered shabu and marijuana from the suspects.

In Mandaluyong, two suspected drug pushers were held in separate stings.

The first drug bust led to the arrest of Manuel Doroteo, 40, in Barangay Bagong Silang.

Doroteo reportedly sold a sachet of shabu to a policeman for P200.

Tricycle driver Mryon Adia was arrested in another sting in Barangay Harapin ang Bukas. He allegedly yielded P3,000 worth of shabu and P200 in marked money.

Seven other drug suspects were apprehended by anti-narcotics agents in Las Piñas, Pasay, Parañaque and Taguig.
