2 drug suspects slain in Bulacan

MALOLOS , Philippines — Two suspected drug pushers were killed in what police said was a shootout in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan shortly after midnight yesterday.

Jayvee Ancho Dineros and another suspect known only as Jun died at the scene, according to acting provincial police director Col. Emma Libunao.

Libunao said they conducted a sting after receiving information that the suspects were allegedly involved in drugs.

The suspects allegedly fired at the policemen, who retaliated.

Authorities said they recovered from the suspects 21 sachets of shabu, a .38-caliber handgun, an improvised shotgun and a motorcycle.
