MANILA, Philippines — A man carrying a hand grenade was apprehended after he allegedly robbed a jail officer in Pasay City on Wednesday night.
Marvin Gelluran Amparado, 27, was taken into police custody.
Police said Angelo Dato Badong, 31, of the Parañaque City jail, was standing in front of the Manila Film Center along Atang dela Rama street when Amparado snatched his wallet.
Probers said they recovered Badong’s wallet, the grenade and a knife from the suspect.
