Cop shot dead in Antipolo

MANILA, Philippines — A police officer was gunned down in Antipolo City, Rizal on Wednesday.

S/Sgt. Jose de los Reyes, 55, of the Camarines Sur police and a resident of Camarin, Caloocan City, suffered a gunshot wound in the head. He died at the scene.

Initial investigation showed the victim had just disembarked from a tricycle and was on his way to a jeepney terminal along Emraud Square Place in Barangay San Jose at around 4:20 p.m. when he was shot by unidentified motorcycle-riding men.
