Woman sideswiped by PNR train
MANILA, Philippines — A woman died after she was sideswiped by a Philippine National Railways (PNR) train in Caloocan on Sunday night.
The woman, aged between 30 and 40 years old, was walking along the railroad tracks in Barangay 33 when the train hit her. She was thrown several meters away.
Leo Luares, the train’s driver, would not be liable for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide because the still unidentified victim was a vagrant and not a train passenger, said M/Sgt. Fernan Romero from the Caloocan police traffic unit.
