MANILA, Philippines — Five Chinese were arrested in Pasay City on Friday for allegedly kidnapping at least three foreigners in the past two weeks.
Ou Shao Ping, 24; Song Da Ping, 27; Deng Xiao Niu, 29; Zhang Yi, 32, and Zhu Ling Qiao, 33, were collared in a supposed safehouse in Barangay 183, Villamor Airbase.
The suspects’ arrest came after they released one of the victims, identified as Zhao Xing, whom they allegedly seized in Parañaque on July 23.
Xing was released on Thursday after his family in China reportedly paid ransom to the kidnappers.
He said he was held captive along with a Malaysian and another Chinese.
The arresting team rescued Wei Liu, 32.
