5 Quezon City students stabbed ?by fellow student

MANILA, Philippines — Five students of the Batasan National High School in Quezon City were injured after they were stabbed by a fellow student on Tuesday.

Police said the victims, all males aged 15 to 17, are recuperating from stab wounds at an undisclosed hospital in the city.

The assailant, known only as Gabo, escaped with the bladed weapon he used in stabbing the victims.

Lt. Col. Joel Villanueva, Batasan police station commander, said the incident happened at around 4:30 p.m.

Villanueva said one of the students had confronted Gabo over an argument during a basketball game on Sunday.

For unknown reasons, the suspect punched the student several times on the face. Gabo then pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim.

The suspect ran amuck and attacked the four other students who were loitering along the corridor, according to witnesses.
