MANILA, Philippines — Two men were arrested on Monday in connection with separate cases of rape.
Jerald Maravilla, 38, was arrested in Biñan, Laguna after five years in hiding for allegedly barging into his then 22-year-old neighbor’s room in Taguig City and raping her in 2013.
He was served an arrest warrant issued by Judge Mariam Bien of the Taguig City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 153.
Joselito Santillan, 44, was arrested in Antipolo, Rizal after a year in hiding after he was accused of raping a teenager in Pasig City.
Santillan, a former janitor of a university in Quezon City, was served an arrest warrant issued by Judge Maria Gracia Cadiz-Casaclan, of the Pasig City RTC Branch 155.
