MANILA, Philippines — Three drug suspects were killed in anti-drug operations in Nueva Ecija and Zambales on Sunday.

Police said Darwin Canlas and Felix Belga shot it out with police officers in stings in Barangay Sto. Niño, San Jose City and M.S. Garcia, Cabanatuan City, respectively.

In Zambales, Ommay Jalmaano allegedly resisted arrest and fired at law enforcers serving a warrant for illegal drugs at his house in Barangay Calapacuan, Subic.

Meanwhile, a son of Mayor Marilyn Pentecostes of Gonzaga, Cagayan was arrested in a drug bust in Tuguegarao City yesterday.

Brig. Gen. Mario Espino, Cagayan Valley police director, said Jonjie Sumer, 44, was nabbed after selling shabu worth P2,000 to undercover agents in a cockpit in Barangay Pengue-Ruyu.

Espino said the young Pentecostes is in President Duterte’s narco list and the watchlist of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency. – Bebot Sison, Ric Sapnu
