6 roads closed for weekend repair

MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) closed six roads to traffic last night to give way to road repairs of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

C-5 Road’s southbound lanes between Lanuza Avenue and the Bagong Ilog flyover; C-5 Road in front of SM Aura; and EDSA’s third southbound lane, from Ermin Garcia to Monte de Piedad streets, were closed to traffic, the MMDA said.

The first northbound lane from Fairview Avenue’s center island, from Atherton to Regalado Avenue North, and from R. Magsaysay Boulevard (going to Cubao) to Pureza street were also closed to motorists.

The MMDA also closed the lane along Commonwealth Avenue near the Riverside overpass to give way to restoration works of Maynilad Water Services Inc.

The MMDA urged motorists to look for alternate routes as the roads will remain closed until Monday morning.
