New Eastmincom chief named

MANILA, Philippines — The military announced yesterday the appointment of Maj. Gen. Felimon Santos Jr. as the new head of the Eastern Mindanao Command.

 Santos, who is currently the commander of the 7th Infantry Division based in Nueva Ecija, will replace Maj. Gen. Ronald Villanueva.

Armed Forces of the Philippines chief Gen. Benjamin Madrigal Jr. will lead the change of command ceremonies to be held at the Naval Station Felix Apolinario tomorrow.
