Sketch of gunman in slay of Subic trader released

MANILA, Philippines — Police released yesterday a sketch of the gunman in the killing of businessman Dominic Sytin at the Subic Freeport Zone on Wednesday. 

Chief Superintendent Joel Coronel, Central Luzon police director, said the family of the victim offered a reward of P1 million for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators of the killing. 

Sytin was shot as he was about to enter the Lighthouse Hotel. His bodyguard Efren Espartero was wounded. 

Coronel said they have yet to determine the motive for the killing. He said more people could be involved in the incident.

A task force was created to investigate the murder.

Sytin was the founder and chief executive officer of United Auctioneers Inc., the biggest auctioneer of used trucks and heavy equipment at Subic. He also owned the ACEA Subic Bay resort.
