Man dies in fight over drunken behavior

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Philippines — A man died when he hit his head on the pavement after he was reportedly punched following an argument with an official of a homeowners’ association in Barangay Pasong, Buaya 2, Imus, Cavite on Thursday night.

Dennis Saigue, 45, a resident of Barangay Molino, Bacoor, died while being treated in a hospital, according to Superintendent Jomar Alamo, city police chief.

The suspect, Michael Canizares, 40, who is also a bodyguard of Imus Mayor Manny Maliksi, was arrested and charged with homicide.

Initial investigation showed the incident occurred when Canizares scolded the victim and his friends for allegedly creating trouble during a drinking spree at the subdivision.
