Teacher gunned down in Laguna

LAGUNA, Philippines — A public school teacher was shot dead in Calamba on Monday.

Police said Evelyn delos Santos was walking on her way to her school in Barangay Barandal when two men who followed her shot her several times. She died at the scene.

Superintendent Harold Depositar, city police chief, said one of the assailants was identified as Sherwin Ong.

Probers are eyeing a family feud as the possible motive for the killing.
