Fetus found in Tondo
MANILA, Philippines — A fetus was dumped at the top of a bridge in Tondo, Manila yesterday morning.
Street sweeper Irene Malva found the fetus, wrapped in a piece of white cloth, at Infanta Bridge in Barangay 133, Zone 11 at past 6 a.m., said Senior Police Officer 2 Joseph Kabigting, Manila Police District (MPD) homicide investigator.
Probers believe the fetus had just been dumped because the blood on it was still fresh.
Meanwhile, a woman was reported to be in critical condition after aborting her baby in Sta. Mesa Monday morning.
Police Officer 3 Ryan Balagtas said doctors at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center confirmed that the woman underwent an induced abortion in the seventh month of her pregnancy.
