16 Caraga cop chiefs relieved
BUTUAN, Philippines — At least 16 police chiefs in Caraga have been relieved from their posts due to their poor performance, an official said.
The police chiefs of Santiago, Las Nieves, Kitcharao, and Magallanes in Agusan del Norte; Taganaan, Bacuag and San Francisco in Surigao del Norte, and Cantilan, Marihatag, Cagwait and Madrid in Surigao del Sur failed to meet the requirements presented by the oversight committee in their anti-illegal drugs operation, according to Chief Superintendent Noli Romana.
Senior Superintendent Ramir Perlas, Dinagat islands police director, had earlier relieved five police chiefs in the province.
“All police chiefs are reminded to maximize their efforts on anti-criminality... especially on illegal drugs or they will face the same fate,” Romana said.
