2 brods nabbed for kin’s slay
MANILA, Philippines — Two brothers wanted for allegedly killing their uncle in Ormoc City were apprehended in separate operations in Quezon City on Sunday.
They were Dennis Noval, 22, and his younger brother Marvin, 20.
Police said Dennis was arrested at the Bagbag public market in Novaliches. Marvin was nabbed at a house along Dumalay street in Barangay Sta. Monica.
Their arrest stemmed from a warrant for murder issued by the Ormoc City regional trial court.
Authorities tagged the Novals in the murder of their uncle, whom police did not identify, after they suspected that he was a government informant.
Probers said the suspects went into hiding in Novaliches.
Chief Superintendent Joselito Esquivel, director of the Quezon City Police District, claimed that the brothers are members of the New People’s Army sub-committee, which operates in Leyte.
