MANILA, Philippines — A man tagged in the murder of a newspaper columnist in Masbate City was arrested in Quezon City yesterday.
Antonio del Rosario was arrested by agents of the Philippine National Police- Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) in a restaurant along Visayas Avenue, Senior Superintendent Wilson Asueta, chief of CIDG-Bicol region, said.
Del Rosario was collared based on a warrant issued by Judge Arturo Clemente Revil of Masbate City Regional Trial Court Branch 44 Masbate City.
The suspect reportedly shot dead Remate columnist Joaquin Briones in Barangay Bacolod, Masbate City last year.
