3 drug suspects slain in Bulacan and Rizal

MANILA, Philippines — Three suspected drug dealers were killed in anti-drug operations in Bulacan and Rizal in the past two days.

Eduardo Bociron was standing in front of a store in Barangay San Andres, Cainta at around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday when an unidentified man shot him in the head.

Police said the victim, who was facing drug charges, was recently released from prison after posting bail.

An alias Togo and Romeo Labrador, alias Boyet, reportedly fired at police officers in Purok 6, Barangay Coral na Bato, San Rafael on Tuesday night and Gaya-gaya, San Jose del Monte, respectively, yesterday.

Police said two .45-caliber pistols, sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of P25,000 and marked money were recovered from the fatalities.

Senior Superintendent Chito Bersaluna, acting Bulacan police director, said 33 suspects were also arrested in drug raids in the past two days. He said the suspects yielded 756 sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia and marked money. 

In Batangas City, Danilo Ramos, 32; Circoncicion Andal, 59, and Esteliva Andal, 82, who were arrested in Barangay Calicanto, reportedly yielded 58 sachets of shabu with an estimated value of P1.7 million.

Police said the suspects sold sachets of shabu worth P15,000 to an undercover agent. – Ed Amoroso, Emmanuel Tupas
