2 drug suspects nabbed in Pasig

MANILA, Philippines — Two suspected drug pushers were arrested by police in Pasig City on Tuesday night.

Reynante Pajita was nabbed after he allegedly sold a sachet of shabu worth P500 to a policeman who posed as a buyer during a sting in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Chief Superintendent Romulo Biay, director of the Eastern Police District, said.

Pajita’s cohort, Jerry Lopez, managed to escape.

In Barangay Pineda, Elmer Santos was collared for alleged possession of shabu and a knife.

Pajita and Santos are being held by police on charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
