MANILA, Philippines — Two drug suspects and a man charged with murder were killed in alleged shootouts with police officers in Bulacan and Quezon yesterday.

Dennis Pagar, who was on the drug watchlist of Barangay Santor, Malolos, drew his gun when he sensed he had sold shabu to undercover agents at around 1:30 a.m.

A man who has yet to be identified refused to pull over and fired at police officers manning a checkpoint in Barangay Sto. Cristo, San Jose del Monte.

Police said the fatalities yielded guns, 22 sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of P55,000 and drug paraphernalia.

In Quezon, Bernie Dailo reportedly resisted arrest and fired at police officers serving a warrant at his hideout in Barangay San Andres, Candelaria at around 7:10 a.m.

Two grenades and a caliber .45 pistol were reportedly recovered from the fatality. – Ed Amoroso, Emmanuel Tupas
