MANILA, Philippines — Soldiers recovered two camps of New People’s Army (NPA) rebels in Abra and Isabela over the weekend.
Lt. Col. Isagani Nato, Northern Luzon Command, information officer, said the camps were discovered in Barangay Kilong-olao, Boliney, Abra and Dicamay Dos, Jones, Isabela.
A bandolier, a sling bag, a bonnet, cooking pots, food items, batteries and contraceptive pills were among those found in the camps.
The military said the rebels could have abandoned the camps when they had sensed the presence of soldiers in the areas.
