LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines — A man drowned while swimming on a beach in Gubat, Sorsogon on Sunday.
William Corporal Jr., 20, was with his cousins at the Buenavista Surf Camp when strong currents brought him to a deep portion of the water.
Personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard and Sorsogon and Gubat risk reduction and management offices conducted search and rescue operations after the victim’s cousins reported the incident.
