3 dead, toddler hurt in shooting

MANILA, Philippines — Unidentified assailants killed three people and injured a three-year-old child as they opened fire at a family’s home in Quezon City on Friday night.

Rex Delmonte, 30; Rhiela May Agraviador, 25, and Efren Gadong, 33, were gunned down in Delmonte’s home along Steve street in Barangay Commonwealth at around 8:30 p.m.

All three worked as collectors of Commonwealth Market.

Probers said the three were eating when two unidentified men, wearing masks and hats, barged in and shot at the victims, who died at the scene.

Delmonte’s three-year-old son was hit in the left leg and was rushed to the Quezon City General Hospital for treatment.

Recovered at the crime scene were 17 fired cartridge cases, 10 deformed fired bullets and bullet fragments.

Superintendent Rossel Cejas, Batasan police station commander, said they are trying to determine if the killings were work-related.
