Alleged deranged man mutilates wife in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines — An alleged deranged man murdered and mutilated his wife to pieces in Quezon City on Saturday.

Orlando Estrera, 43, was arrested for the killing of his wife, Heide, at their house along St. Michael Extension in Barangay Holy Spirit at around 5 p.m. 

Police said Estrera tested negative for drugs. But he admitted that he used shabu in the past.

Neighbors discovered the murder after they saw Estrera throwing out body parts from inside the house.

The victim’s severed body parts were found by responding police officers.

Estrera told probers that he ate the victim’s brain after beating it with a hammer. 

Police said the woman’s feet were cut off, one of which was stuffed in her abdomen.

Estrera admitted that he cut the victim’s belly to see if she was bearing a child, who he claimed was the spawn of the devil that he needed to kill.

The suspect showed no remorse in killing the victim.

Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar, director of the Quezon City Police District, described the case as a “crime of passion.”

Eleazar said charges of parricide would be filed against Estrera before the city prosecutor’s office.
