4 drown in Northern Luzon

MANILA, Philippines — Four persons drowned in separate incidents in Northern Luzon on Monday. 

Construction worker Romnick Gonzales, 21, was in a family outing on a beach in Barangay Nibaliw Narvarte in San Fabian, Pangasinan when he was swept away by the strong current.

Joven Canuela, 16, and his brother went swimming in the sea in Barangay Bacquioen, Sual also in Pangasinan when he was carried away by the strong current.

Kurt Bawi Blanker, 12, failed to surface from a deep portion of the water when he went swimming with his cousin and uncle near Magat Dam in Alfonso Lista, Ifugao.

In Ilocos Sur, Dario Camilot, 39, drowned while bathing in Amburayan river in Barangay Bio, Tagudin. – Eva Visperas, Cesar Ramirez, Artemio Dumlao, Raymund Catindig
