4 slain in shootings

MANILA, Philippines — Four persons were gunned down in Laguna, Batangas and Negros Occidental on Monday.

Richard Formaran was shot several times in Barangay Tuntungin Putho, Los Baños, Laguna.

Remedios Gomez was driving a motorcycle when she was shot in Barangay Barandal, Calamba at about 7:05 p.m. She died at the scene. Her companion, also a woman, fell from the motorcycle and suffered minor injuries.

In Batangas, Christopher Reyes was driving his car on his way home when unidentified men blocked his path in Barangay San Isidro Norte, Sto. Tomas at around 9:20 p.m. and opened fire. He was declared dead on arrival at the Daniel Mercado Medical Center.

Danilo Dulce was at his house in Barangay Talaban, Himamaylan, Negros Occidental when he heard someone calling his name. His partner said she heard a gunshot when he peeked out the window.

Probers have yet to determine the motives for the killings.
