3 killed in shootings

MANILA, Philippines - Three persons were killed in gun attacks in Rizal and Batangas on Friday.

Ariel Mendoza and Arnold Marquez, both 29 years old, were at a tricycle terminal in Barangay Bagumbayan in Teresa town when they were shot. Tricycle driver Richard Marasigan was hit by a stray bullet and taken to a hospital for treatment.

Macario Lorzano, 59, was on the terrace of his house in Barangay Banay-Banay, Lipa City when an unidentified man opened fire.

Police are still investigating the motives for the killings.
