Councilman kills self

CAMARINES NORTE , Philippines  – A barangay councilman died after allegedly shooting himself at his house in San Jacinto, Masbate on Monday.

Oldarixo Barrun, 67, was found with a gunshot wound in the left armpit at around 7 a.m. Barrun’s son Melvin, 26, reported the incident to the police.

An investigation is underway.
