MANILA, Philippines - At least 80 families were left homeless when a fire broke out at a residential area in Tondo, Manila on Thursday.
Arson probers said the fire started at the house of Nelia Morales at the corner of Vargas and Antipolo streets at past 5 p.m.
The fire reached Task Force Alpha before it was declared under control at around 9 p.m.
The Manila Fire Department said the blaze destroyed around 40 houses.
Authorities have yet to establish the cause of the fire.
