P3.6-M shabu seized in Batanes sting

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – More than a kilo of shabu with an estimated street value of P3.6 million was seized in a sting in Basco, Batanes on Wednesday. ?

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency regional director Derrick Carreon said the illegal drugs were confiscated from a tour guide identified as Leona Patimo. ?

Carreon said Patimo had been under surveillance for some time prior to her arrest.

Meanwhile, five persons were arrested in another drug sting in Tugeugarao, Cagayan on Tuesday.

Anti-drug operatives seized 65 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P260,000 from alleged drug den operator Jefferson Tagacay, Joey Quilang, Crisanto Gordovez, Joal Du and Audrey Perez.
