Pangasinan, Pampanga to experience power outages

DAGUPAN, Philippines – Parts of Pangasinan and Pampanga will experience power interruption, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines announced yesterday.

The NGCP said the five-and-a-half hour blackout in Pangasinan today would affect the municipalities of Sual, Mabini, Burgos, Dasol, Infanta, Agno, Bani, Anda, Bolinao, Labrador and Alaminos City.

The power interruption will allow the replacement of wood poles and corrective maintenance along the Labrador-Bani and Sual-Bani 69-kiloVolt (kV) line.

In Pampanga, a 10-hour power outage starting at 7 a.m. on Wednesday will affect the municipalities of Sta. Rita, Bacolor, Sasmuan, Porac, Lubao, Guagua and Floridablanca.

The NGCP said the blackout would facilitate rerouting of three poles in Barangay Siram in Lubao and reinforcement of loop conductors and installation of post insulator along the Hermosa-GuaguaBasa 69-kV line. – Eva Visperas, Ding Cervantes
