New Bicol police chief named

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – Chief Superintendent Augusto Marquez Jr., former executive officer of the Directorate for Investigation and Detective

 Management at Camp Crame, is the new police director for Bicol.

Marquez took over the command during simple ceremonies held at Camp General Simeon Ola on Thursday.

The position was vacant since Aug. 11 after Chief Superintendent Victor Deona was designated director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.

Marquez was former Legazpi City police chief and Quezon police director.
