Man hacks ma dead

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A man hacked his mother dead for trying to stop him from hurting his nephew in Flora town in Apayao last Friday.

Rey Ramil Ugalino was reportedly drunk when he attacked his 65-year-old mother with a bolo at their home in Barangay Alig, town police chief Inspector Gary Gayamos said.

Ugalino was reportedly irked when his nephew and cousin failed to invite him to have some drinks with them.

Gayamos said the suspect took a bolo and tried to attack his relatives, but his mother tried to stop him.
