Jealous man shoots wife

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A 29-year-old woman was wounded after she was allegedly shot by her husband due to jealousy in San Pablo, Isabela Monday night.

Marichu Beltran was rushed to the Cagayan Valley Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition due to a bullet wound in the head.

The victim was rushed to the hospital by her husband, Pablo, after the incident that occurred in front of their children in Barangay Minanga, town police chief Senior Inspector Alford Accad, said.

Pablo fled after taking his wife to the hospital.

Accad said the suspect accused his wife of having an affair with another man.
