1 dead as motorbike hits bus

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A man died after his motorcycle collided with a passenger bus in Cauayan City, Isabela Friday night.

Leonardo Lagmay reportedly tried to overtake another vehicle when his motorcycle crashed into a bus owned by the G.V. Florida Transport company in Barangay Cabaruan, city police chief Superintendent Mariano Rodriguez said.

Police arrested bus driver Marcelino Cantorna after the accident while his bus was impounded at the city police station.
