LA TRINIDAD, Benguet, Philippines – Authorities seized 51 marijuana bricks and 12 rolls in San Juan town, La Union shortly after midnight yesterday.
The operation also resulted in the arrest of Wilno Bagnisen Jr., Nomer Nombres, Roland San Pedro and April Boy Egosquiza, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region 1 office said.
Reports said the four suspects came from Bakun town, which is known for its marijuana farms, and were on their way to the lowlands when they were apprehended in Barangay Naguitiban in San Juan at around 12:20 a.m.
The PDEA has yet to estimate the value of the marijuana.
The suspects are held at the local PDEA detention cell.
