Woman, son gunned down

MANGATAREM, Pangasinan, Philippines – A 64-year-old woman and her son were shot dead by motorcycle-riding men as they were selling vegetables in Camiling town in Tarlac Sunday.

Virginia de Vera and her son Ben, 26, died at the scene due to gunshot wounds in the head and body.

Investigators recovered eight bullet shells for a caliber .45 pistol at the crime scene.

The motive for the killings has yet to be determined.
