Zambales fruit vendor claims share of P30.9-M lotto jackpot

MANILA, Philippines - A 66-year-old fruit vendor from Zambales has claimed her share of the jackpot in the 6/55 Grand Lotto draw, which she won with a player from Cagayan, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said yesterday.

PCSO acting chairman Jose Ferdinand Rojas said the two winners hit the winning combination 13-01-22-16-39-19, which had a total prize of P30,940,932.

Rojas handed a check for P15,470,466 to the winner at the PCSO office in Mandaluyong City on Thursday.

The winner, who is married and has three children, bet P80 for four sets of randomly picked numbers from a lotto outlet in Castillejos town.  She said she has been a lotto bettor since 1995.

Rojas said the winner plans to pay her debts, buy a farm lot to expand her fruit business and deposit her winnings in the bank.
