Bus plunges into ravine; 21 injured

DINGALAN, Aurora, Philippines – Twenty-one people, including a 50-year-old Korean national and a five-month-old baby boy, were injured when the bus they were riding plunged into a 20-feet deep ravine here Tuesday night, police said.

Vic Maneja, chairman of Barangay Caragsacan, said the Dingalan Transport bus had come from Cabanatuan City and was on its way to the town proper when it met the accident while maneuvering a downhill curve.

Aside from the baby, the injured included six minors aged 10 to 16. They were rushed to the Dingalan Community Hospital and later transferred to Cabanatuan City. – Manny Galvez, Ric Sapnu
