4 pushers yield 100 grams of shabu in Bulacan bust

MANILA, Philippines - Four suspected drug pushers were arrested by authorities during a buy bust operation in Bulacan, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said on Wednesday.

PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. identified the suspects as Sailanie Lomondot, 28; Willy Manuel, 33; Lou Bernadeth Zuñiga, 48; and Aris Cammayo, 20, all residents of Meycauayan City, Bulacan.

Reports said that on April 13, around 8:30 p.m., elements of PDEA Regional Office 3, together with a team from Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group- Police Regional Office 3 arrested the suspects during a sting operation within the vicinity of a popular chain of neighborhood grocery stores in Barangay Malhacan, Meycauayan City, Bulacan.

Seized from the suspects were two plastic sachets containing methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, weighing approximately 100 grams with an estimated value of P200,000.

Cases for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), in relation to Section 26 (Conspiracy to Sell), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared for filing in court against the suspects.
