LA TRINIDAD, Benguet -- A mild earthquake hit Baguio City and nearby Benguet province at the break of dawn Monday.
Measured at 3.4 magnitude, the tremor according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) was traced 9 kilometers northeast of Bokod town in Benguet at two kilometers deep.
The shaking, which was tectonic in origin, was felt in Baguio at intensity 2.
No damage in Benguet and in Baguio City was reported.
