TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A barangay councilman and his companion were arrested in a drug bust in Mallig town in Isabela Friday.
Cenon Tañedo, 49, reportedly ranked third on the drug list of the local police, according to Isabela police director Senior Superintendent Sotero Ramos Jr.
Tañedo was arrested along with his friend Domingo Binoya, 39, in Barangay San Pedro.
The suspects reportedly yielded 18 plastic sachets believed to contain shabu and P3,000 in marked money, according to Mallig police chief Senior Inspector Benigno Asuncion.
