NCRPO wants Pasay bridge shooting case solved

MANILA, Philippines - The National Capital Region Police Office leadership on Wednesday ordered the Pasay City police to conduct a thorough investigation for the immediate resolution of the shooting at the Cementina Dolores Bridge which resulted in the death of five men.

"Do not rest. Solve this case with resoluteness," NCRPO chief Police Director Leonardo Espina told Police Chief Superintendent Jose Erwin Villacorte, referring to the case.

Based on initial report,  the victims Andrew Loyd Cruz, 23; Chuckie Dee Cruz , Raymart Saraza, Francisco Cruz ,20; and Rogelio Diala Jr., 22; all of Magtibay St., Pasay, were walking along the bridge from a videoke bar around 2:30 am when three motorcycle-riding men opened fire at them.

Police said the Cruz brothers are temporarily out on bail for a charge of possession of illegal drugs.

The suspects sped-off their motorcycle heading toward Libertad St. in Pasay, police added.

Investigators recovered from the scene 18 empty shells from a cal.40 pistol.
