Suspect in slay of Abra lawmaker’s aide falls

BANGUED, Abra , Philippines   â€“ A suspect in the recent killing of a staff assistant of Abra Rep. Joy Bernos was arrested in this capital town last Saturday.

Reports said the suspect, Ronron Gabino, tagged in the fatal shooting of Bernos’s aide Irelee Beralde, 41, sustained a bullet wound as he engaged the arresting lawmen in a brief shootout while trying to escape on board a motorcycle in Barangay Bangbangar.
